ITINERARY
DAY 1
Welcome to Oaxaca! Check into our adorable hotel accommodations at the Santa Cecelia hotel, meet your Oaxaca travel family for the next 5 days over a welcome toast. Then relax over a traditional Mayan dinner.
Meals included: Welcome Toast & Light Snack, Mayan Dinner
DAY 2
Connect with the grounding energy of Oaxaca as we get acquainted with a city and market walking tour.
We will visit a local artisanal hatmaker to learn the hat making process and you'll have the opportunity, if inclined, to design and purchase your own custom hat wearable art.
That evening, we'll enjoy a mouthwatering dinner at the restaurant of famed chef, Rodolfo Castellanos, who offers diners a contemporary angle on traditional Oaxacan food.
Meals included: Breakfast at Hotel, Dinner.
DAY 3
Dive deep into the healing waters of Oaxaca's natural springs and waterfalls, Hierve El Agua, the petrified waterfalls.
Following the waterfalls, we will learn all about Mezcal and its long history, with some tasting involved.
We will come back to Oaxaca to enjoy dinner out La Tribu.
Meals included: Breakfast at Hotel, Lunch, Dinner.
DAY 4
Our day starts with a slow morning and rooftop meditation, followed by a bit of free time before our big culinary afternoon and evening!
Our afternoon will ignite your inner fire with a cooking class incorporating rituals and embracing Oaxaca’s culture. We will have a full culinary immersion into making mole, tortillas and tasting their many mezcals. Chef Sonia welcomes us into her home for a very special and memorable experience.
Meals included: Breakfast at Hotel, Dinner Cooking Class.
DAY 6
Depart from Oaxaca, taking all of your beautiful memories and new friendships home with you. See you on the next retreat!
DAY 5
On our last day, we will enjoy a rooftop meditation and then you’ll receive a traditional Mayan massage promoting both body and mind to release negative energy.
That afternoon, we will commemorate our time in Oaxaca with a coffee & cacao tasting, followed by a women’s cacao ceremony led by a local spiritual guide, Margaux.
We will sit high on the mountainside for dinner at Cruz, taking in the stars and city views for our last night in Oaxaca.
Meals included: Breakfast at Hotel, Dinner.
